About Alexandra Dawe

A fan of folklore, legend and fairytales, the movie ‘Labyrinth’ gave Alexandra a lifelong love of the artwork of Brian and Wendy Froud. The documentary, ‘The Making of Labyrinth’ led her to a career making models, props and special effects for TV and films.

Alexandra is now an author too! Her debut novel, The Stitchwort Curse, is a teenage fantasy adventure about an eccentric family of witches living under a curse in their ruined, haunted mansion.

Born in Liverpool, Alexandra now lives in the south-west with her husband, children, the best dog, two cats and a few elderly chickens. She loves reading, drawing or watching anything spooky. View more by Alexandra Dawe.
