Sam Cannon

Four wildlife and nature cards from Sam Cannon have just arrived, made perfect by beautiful and inspirational quotes :)

A black bird with an orange beak perches on a branch surrounded by large pink flowers. A curved inscription in the top right-hand quarter reads, "I will always lean my heart as close to your soul as I can". The background is in shades of pink. Two hares with red fur and white feet sit on their haunches facing each other, heads touching. Green stems with small white flowers at the end surround them. The background is shades of grey. An inscription at the bottom right reads, "Let's go hand in hand not one before the other". Birds (house martins, swifts and swallows) wheel above gentle hills with a patchwork of fields and trees. The fields are colourful, a mixture of greens, yellows and purples. In the centre towards the top, a larger hill has a small group of trees at the peak (this is Colmers Hill from the title). The inscription "Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy" is woven down through the fields.

A large grey and white heron stands on one leg in water near the bank of a river. To the left, a grassy bank reveals otters, a slug and blue damselfly. Another damselfly hovers nearby. Runes (Berkana and Algiz) dangle from the heron's beak. The river extends behind the scene, with grassland and trees beyond. In the background, a heron lands on a tilted, broken tree trunk, and another flies silhouetted against the sky. An unborn human baby lies curled up within the sun.

Naomi Cornock

Naomi is a pagan artist living in the West Country of England. Naomi's art is an extension of her animist, pagan beliefs and reflects her connection to nature and her ancestors. She creates art to depict for others the magick she sees and feels every day, and in the hope that, as others view and connect with her art, they will also be able to find a deeper connection with, and value, this natural and magical world we live in.

Sam Cannon

Sam Cannon is an artist and illustrator living near Lyme Regis in Dorset, England. She works in watercolours, gouache, colour pencils and graphite pencil on board, paper and slates.

A colourful image of a young woman facing to the right with a full moon shining behind her. She wears an intricate living head-dress which inclues birds of prey, deer, wolves, moths and other animals, feathers, and a woman riding a stag.

Josephine Wall

"The art of painting is more than a career to me, it is an all consuming obsession and a love of colour and form. In fact, if I am away from my easel for too long I become restless and anxious to paint again"
