We started Moondragon in 2005 as a response to the frustration of not being able to find cards celebrating the Pagan festival of Yule (as opposed to the Christian festival of Christmas). When we started sourcing the cards we realised there were hundreds of lovely cards rarely found on the High Street which would really appeal to both the pagan community and those who appreciate fantasy and fairy art.

As we expanded and began to contact more artists with a view to stocking their cards, it became obvious that a lot of the beautiful art we'd found wasn't being reproduced for sale in any form. "That's terrible", we thought, "What can we do about it?" So in 2010 we started working directly with artists to publish (and wholesale!) our own range of cards. Since then we've added more themes and launched a range of print-on-demand giftware.
