From Naomi's description: "She is the Egyptian goddess of cats, and is associated with the sun and the moon, and the God Ra. Her primary aspect is that of protection…
Cats were very important to the ancient Egyptians and were even considered to be demi-deities. Not only did they protect the crops and slow the spread of disease by killing rodents, they were also thought to be the physical form of the goddess Bastet. Bastet was the goddess of protection, pleasure, and the bringer of good health."

About Naomi Cornock
Naomi is a pagan artist living in the West Country of England. Naomi's art is an extension of her animist, pagan beliefs and reflects her connection to nature and her ancestors. She creates art to depict for others the magick she sees and feels every day, and in the hope that, as others view and connect with her art, they will also be able to find a deeper connection with, and value, this natural and magical world we live in.
